Volunteering

Beyond publication.
Into real service.

ISAD is proud to support an initiative that extends beyond research articles and academic publication into direct dental service for communities in need.

01

A broader expression of ISAD

ISAD is proud to announce that its mission now reaches beyond research writing alone. While scholarship remains an essential part of the organization, we believe academic work should also lead to meaningful action.

In that spirit, ISAD is proud to support the volunteer costs associated with the University of Toronto Global Brigades dental initiative, helping make possible a service effort that will travel to Panama on May 1, 2026 to provide free dental services for local communities.

02

Hosted by the University of Toronto

Hosted by the University of Toronto, this initiative reflects a model of service rooted in leadership, responsibility, and international cooperation.

It is not simply a volunteer trip. It is a demonstration that student connection across institutions can become something tangible, a form of care delivered directly to people who need it.

03

International connection in practice

Through this effort, students from the University of Toronto, the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Case Western Reserve University, and the University of Western Ontario will come together through a shared commitment to service.

This is the kind of international connection ISAD believes in, not only academic exchange, but collaboration expressed through real work, real responsibility, and direct service.
