What it means to be a Branch Head

Branch Heads serve as the primary leaders and representatives of ISAD at their respective institutions. This is not a title-based role, but a working leadership position that requires responsibility, leadership, and consistent engagement.

Branch Heads are responsible for establishing and sustaining an active research culture within their campus branch while aligning with ISAD’s broader academic mission and publication goals.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and organize a structured research team within the institution.
  • Oversee manuscript development and internal writing assignments.
  • Assign writing roles, including Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion.
  • Ensure adherence to academic standards, mainly PRISMA.
  • Coordinate internal deadlines and maintain workflow accountability.
  • Communicate regularly with ISAD Executive Leadership.
  • Represent ISAD professionally within the school.

  • Consistent weekly involvement.
  • Active manuscript supervision.
  • Responsiveness in team communication.
  • Reliability during journal submission cycles.

This is a long-term commitment, not a short-term resume addition.
